
I had attended regional NAFSA conferences before, but this was my first time to attend the national conference. Karen Krug, Research & Knowledge Management Evaluator: Long story short, that's a much easier question to answer as compared to the case of the fake summer course, although who doesn't love a good "credential conundrum"? We love helping out newbies and luckily, we had just rolled-out ECE Essentials, our retreat-style training program specifically meant for professionals new to credential evaluation. I met with at least a dozen people who were not only new to NAFSA, but to the field in general. This year, the common theme seemed to be training. A very tricky situation, especially if a syllabus is not normally required to transfer international credits back or the summer program was not pre-approved. who returned home and completed a summer course for which the syllabus had actually been plagiarized. I typically spend most of the conference at the ECE booth, which is always busy!
